ClassDescription

Dance Class

We offer classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop Dance.

Musical Theater Classes

Musical Theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines song, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. The story and emotional content of a musical are communicated through words, music, movement, and acting. The class will teach all of these elements thru learning performance material that will prepare them to be in a musical in our upcoming shows. They will also learn back stage etiquette and stage performance. Wear comfortable clothing to move in, and tennis shoes or jazz shoes are preferred.

We ask that you attend at least 3 weeks of class before you are eligible to audition for a show.

The week before a show is called “tech week.” All cast members are required to be available every evening of tech week for rehearsals.
Usually, rehearsals run from 5:30-8:30PM but can go later.

Studio Vocal Master Class (ages 8-18)

Led by a Vocal Coach, students will perform selected songs then learn to receive and give professional constructive criticism. This will allow a place for vocal students to perform and gather repertoire as well as give audition experience.

Improvisation Class (ages 10-18)

Forgetting a line in a song or monologue can be scary. This class will provide a fun and unintimidating way to get those creative juices flowing when off-script. This class will also teach actors how to build a character and remain in character while on stage. You may need to bring a tissue box to this class. This class is guaranteed to bring tears of laughter to your eyes. Stage confidence and etiquette are also taught in this class.

Vocal Performance Class

This “Glee” style course will focus on Group and Individual voices. Students will learn about the physical process of singing: posture, breath support and vocal exercises. The course will focus on development of vocal technique and the art of acting the song not only as a soloist, but as an ensemble as well.”
