Garrett Bettersworth

Stage Director/Choreographer

Garrett was this annoying kid who would burst out into song in my daughter's 7th grade math class without even knowing he was singing. My daughter took a liking to his quirkiness and Garrett invited her to join this new theatre group that he and his mom were putting together. We were hooked from that moment on. Garrett inspired my daughter to try out for NESA when he found out that he had been accepted. She got into NESA too and 4 families spent their freshman year figuring out how to carpool these crazy kids to San Antonio and back. Garrett became like another son to me and I am so proud to have watched him continue to flourish into a polished actor and a somewhat zany almost young adult. He has starred in either the lead role or support of the lead role in almost every production with NBPA. He studies at the Studio School in Los Angeles but will always have a place here at NBPA.

Erin Erxleben

Musical Theatre/Dance Instructor

Erin grew up in Austin, Texas where she began dancing at 5 years of age. She excelled in competitive dance team and drill team where she was awarded numerous honors at competitions and on the field. Her love of dance brought her to her love of musical theatre where got accepted into one of the top Musical Theatre programs in the country, Texas State University, where she graduated with a BFA in musical theatre. After graduating, she began teaching dance and choreographing musicals with NBPA while playing lead theater roles at a regional theater in San Antonio. Her passion then took her to perform with top cruise lines such as the new Asian luxury cruise line, Dream Cruises- Genting Dream where she was 1 of 2 Americans on the whole ship. She also danced on Bahama Paradise Cruise lines, and had the honor of being in the first cast of "Broadway Christmas Wonderland"-Tokyo with Dublin Worldwide/Spirit Productions. Her career has taken her to exotic destinations all over the world such as Singapore, The Bahamas, Japan, Canada, Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and most recently, Guam. Her most recent contract was 10 months at Sandcastle Guam in the Las Vegas style magic show “Zubrick” as a showgirl/dancer. She also taught on the beautiful island as a dance teacher & choreographer at Body Arts. Erin most recently made her 3rd move to NYC last fall to pursue her dreams of Broadway where she consistently auditioned, strengthened her vocal technique, and started training in the Meisner technique taking acting classes at MCS studios in NYC. She has continued Meisner+ TV/film acting classes through zoom, and has grown to learn & love TV/film acting as well. Erin has starred in musicals such as “Erma” in Anything Goes, “Janet” Rocky Horror Picture Show, “Pippi” Great American Trailer Park Musical, “Lucinda” in Into the Woods and more. She loves to combine her love of dance with the story telling world of musical theatre, and has a passion to inspire the next generation of artists with all she has learned.
